OMAHA — In just 30 minutes, three shootings left two people dead in Omaha Wednesday night, and police are looking for the same suspects in the attacks.

Killed were Luis Fernando-Silva, 22, and Tari Glinsmann, 27. Charles Denton, 21, was shot but is expected to survive.

Omaha Police Lt. Darci Tierney said police have found no relationship between the three victims.

But, she said Thursday evening, “we believe the suspects are the same.’’

Fernando-Silva of Omaha was the first victim. He was shot a little before 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in southeast Omaha and pronounced dead at Creighton University Medical Center.

Police were soon called to a shooting a few miles to the northwest. Officers found Denton, who was shot after using an ATM in the Dundee area. Tierney said she didn’t know if there was surveillance video from the ATM.

Around 11:15 p.m., police responded to a shooting at a convenience store a couple miles away. Officers found a Glinsmann dead in the parking lot. She was an employee at the convenience store.

All the victims were shot near or in their vehicles.

Tierney urged people to be careful walking to their cars, and to call the homicide unit at 402-444-5656 with any information on the shootings. Extra officers are on the street patrolling the “hot spot area’’ where the shootings occurred, Tierney said.

Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey said he was “deeply disturbed’’ by the violence.

“I am confident that Chief (Eric) Buske and the Omaha Police Department will do whatever is necessary to solve these crimes,’’ Fahey said.
