OMAHA — The economy may be faltering on the national scene, but Nebraskans are finding some relief at the pumps.
The statewide average price of a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline dropped below $3 on Tuesday. The prices have been steadily dropping in recent weeks and AAA says the figure was at $2.98 on Tuesday. That’s about 70 cents less than a month ago, but still more than what Nebraskans were paying a year ago.
AAA says the average price of a gallon of unleaded averaged $2.81 this time last year.

Plus with GM shopping for a merger not much is going to be solved by the lower gas prices.
America has been drained financially. High gas prices, a continuing effort in Iraq, a dragged economy and escalating costs in consumables has removed the buying power of the American economy. Most people are just trying to hold on right now.
Plus health care costs are going up.... No, this is an attempt for the world to stop the bleeding. "
