Juvenile booked, accused of shooting at police car
By The Associated Press
OMAHA, Neb. — A juvenile is in custody after allegedly firing shots at an unmarked police car in north Omaha.
Police say gang unit officers were in the unmarked vehicle about 8:45 Saturday night when it was struck by gunfire two times.
Additional officers arrived and interviewed several young people. A search was conducted on a residence, and firearms and stolen property were found.
A young male said he shot at the unmarked car because he thought it belonged to a rival gang. He was booked at the Douglas County Youth Center for two counts of attempted felony assault and destruction of property.
