Nader says he won’t pander to farm-rich Nebraska
OMAHA — Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader told Nebraskans he would not support tax subsidies for ethanol producers.
Nader said Friday in Omaha that he would not pander to the farm-rich state to get votes. He is against the subsidies.
But Nader said he will champion for family farmers.
The consumer advocate is on the ballot in 45 states and the District of Columbia. He has run for president several times, including in 2004.
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama spoke in Omaha in February. In July, Republican presidential nominee John McCain came to Ashland for a fundraiser.
Nader also said Friday that he’d have a better chance of winning if he were included in the presidential candidates’ debates.
