Football glance, 10/4: Lincoln Christian defeats Palmyra

Lincoln Christian’s Devin Paulsen completed 10-of-16 passes for 192 yards. Wes Negley rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries and Austin Mathers had three catches for 115 yards as Lincoln Christian rolled past Palmyra 31-13. Palmyra had 260 yards of total offense. Negley also had 49 receiving yards and a 35-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter.
FAIRBURY 42, LINCOLN LUTHERAN 13: Lincoln Lutheran ran for 202 yards, but hurt itself by turning over the ball over five times.
Fairbury’s Devin Schmidt rushed 17 times for 229 yards and four touchdowns. Quarterback Lee Horky 129 yards passing.
Lutheran quarterback Isaiah Bockelman returned a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the Warriors’ first possesion. Bockelmom rushed for 67 yards on 12 carries and passed for 45 yards as well.
Tobin Wyatt led the Warriors with 81 yards rushing on 10 carries.
CRETE 35, SCHUYLER 0: Trevor Florendo rushed for 159 yards on 19 carries and scored three touchdowns for Crete. Johnny Leach added 122 yards rushing for the Cardinals, the defending Class B champion. Crete is 4-2 this season.
SYRACUSE 40, AUBURN 0: Syracuse’s Jake Welter ran all over the Bulldog defense, compiling 124 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Welter, who scored all of his runs in the first half, averaged 13.8 yards per carry and his longest was a 31-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
