NU NEWS: Baylor makes early goal hold up, stops Husker soccer team's roll

Baylor’s Bethany Johnston scored in the fifth minute to lead the Bears to a 1-0 victory against Nebraska in Big 12 soccer action Sunday in Waco, Texas.
The loss was the Huskers’ first in four league matchs and first defeat since Sept. 5. The Huskers outshot Baylor 24-7 and had 14 corner kicks to Baylor’s seven.
Senior midfielder Selenia Iacchelli led the Huskers with eight shots.
SOFTBALL: Nebraska split a pair of games at the Hawkeye Fall Classic in Iowa City. The Huskers lost 3-2 to Western Illinois, then came back later to beat Iowa 1-0. Senior right-hander Molly Hill threw a four-hit shutout with four strikeouts against the Hawkeyes.
