By The Associated Press
Four new human cases of West Nile virus have been reported in Nebraska, brining the total cases this year to 29.
Two of the new cases are in Hall County, and one each in Saline and Lincoln counties.
No deaths have been reported in the state.
Health officials in Iowa announced the first death there Wednesday.
Iowa Department of Public Health officials say an elderly man from western Iowa died this month.
West Nile is transmitted through the bite of a mosquito that has picked up the virus by feeding on an infected bird.
