AURORA — A Gothenburg man will be sentenced next month for the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl he had been driving to a home for troubled youths.

Scott Meredith pleaded no contest in Hamilton County District Court to felony first-degree sexual assault.

As part of his plea deal, a similar charge was dismissed in Buffalo County.

Authorities say Meredith was a driver for Prince of the Road, a transport company based in Ravenna.

In May last year he was driving the girl from Maxwell to Grace Children’s Home in Henderson.

Authorities say he had sex with the girl twice along the way, once in each county.

Meredith faces one to 50 years in prison and must register as a sex offender for 10 years.

" Hey Cool Chic just because a person is from a small town does not mean they do not have any values! Being from a small town has nothing to do with this article or the situation. So before anyone starts judging maybe you should read the whole article. "

" I'm a female, and I used to be a teacher in a small town in another state. Any time a female student needed a ride, the male principal would always find a female teacher to drive that student. I never believed the principal would do anything wrong, but he never wanted to give anyone the opportunity to accuse him of anything. What kind of check was done on this driver. I feel so badly for the young girl. What a thing to have to live with. "
