Midway open, 1 p.m. to close. $5 Kiddyland wristband, 1-5 p.m. $22 wristbands, 1 p.m. to close.

Grandstand: Car racing: IMCA Modified, Hobby Stock, Sport Mods, 7 p.m. Admission: adults, $7; children 6-12, $2; 5 and under, free. (Gate admission not included.)

Today’s special: Military Appreciation Day. Active military personnel and veterans with military identification admitted free to the fair until 5 p.m. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Open Air Auditorium, a Military Appreciation Day celebration will include posting and parade of colors, welcome from the governor, and entertainment from the Omaha Big Band, LTD.

All veterans, auxiliary members, color guards, marching units, military floats and vehicles are invited to participate in the Parade of Colors and wear their uniforms.  Report to the street by the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall on the north side of the Devaney Sports Center at 11:30 a.m.
