“I’m thinking about it,” Lathrop confirmed late Tuesday night.

But, he said, he probably would delay a decision until March.

Earlier speculation had centered on state Sen. Tom White of Omaha as a possible challenger to Republican Gov. Dave Heineman two years from now.

Heineman said this week he expects to seek re-election in 2010.

" Lathrop brought pro-lifers and pro-stem cell research people together to create a comprise that all side agree on. He has the ability to bring people together. That is the change Nebraska needs. "
