Police are investigating a Wednesday night robbery at a convenience store.

A man entered Kwik Shop, 2302 Cornhusker Highway, around 10 p.m., approached the clerk and demanded money from the register, displaying a handgun, said Capt. Dennis Duckworth.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money, Duckworth said.

" i don't why someone is willing to spend the next 15 years in prison for a couple of hundred bucks. you could work in a kwik shop and have that same amount of money in a couple of days and not go to jail. strange. "

" You don't even get a couple hundred bucks out of a drawer anymore. All gas stations have safes where you drop cash, and most of the time, employers drill you continually to always drop cash. This idiot would be lucky (really lucky) if he even got $100 dollars. "
