Results of autopsies to be performed Thursday on a Lincoln couple found dead in their bedroom this week will be released as early as Friday, said Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood.

Investigators found keys in the ignition of a car in the garage below the bedroom of Angela Grueber, 31, and Brandon Grueber, 30, on Monday afternoon.

Carbon monoxide levels were dangerously high at the home at 3541 N. 72nd St. when emergency responders arrived.

The car had been turned on, Police Chief Tom Casady has said, but it was not running by the time authorities arrived at about 2:45 p.m. Monday.

A relative of the Gruebers had reported an emergency minutes earlier upon entering their home. The Gruebers were found unresponsive in their bed.

Casady has said police have no information so far that leads them to believe that murder or suicide was the cause of their deaths.

" I know people are curious, and I admit I have my own curious moments. But making public autopsy results must be the ultimate in invasion of privacy, and since one must be dead to be the subject of such, no one can complain. Picture it as a postmortem dream about showing up somewhere naked with your innards showing, too! Just let the family make a statement revealing what details they wish, instead. "
