Air Force drill team to perform in Omaha
OMAHA— The U.S. Air Force’s Honor Guard Drill Team will put on a special performance in Omaha as part of the city’s Air Force Week celebration.
The Drill Team will perform Aug. 11 at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. The public concert at the UNO Pep Bowl will start at 9 a.m. There’s no cost to attend.
The Drill Team is the traveling part of the Air Force’s Honor Guard. Its performances include a choreography of weapons maneuvers using 11-pound rifles.
Air Force Week runs Saturday through Aug. 17. Events include an air show, a concert by country singer Jessica Andrews and fireworks. More details may be found online at www.airforceweek.com.
