Senior Legion tournament begins today

Anderson Ford is the top seed in the Area A-5 Senior American Legion Tournament that begins today at Sherman Field.
Anderson Ford, comprised of players from North Star High School, opens play against Dinsdale Auto (Lincoln Southeast) at 11 a.m.
Other opening-day games pit No. 4 seed JC Brager (Southeast) against No. 5 Judds Brothers (Northeast) at 2 p.m., Union Bank (Pius X) against Sampson Construction (Lincoln High) at 5 p.m. and Pinnacle Bank (Southwest) against U-Stop (East) at 8 p.m.
The double-elimination tournament runs through Sunday. The top two teams will advance to Class A state tournaments beginning next week.

Game 2—JC Brager vs. Judds Brothers, 2 p.m.
Game 3—Union Bank vs. Sampson Construction, 5 p.m.

THURSDAY
Game 5—Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 11 a.m.
Game 6—Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4, 2 p.m.
Game 7—Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 5 p.m.
Game 8—Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 8 p.m.
FRIDAY
Game 9—Winner Game 5 vs. Loser Game 8, 2 p.m.
Game 10—Winner Game 6 vs. Loser Game 7, 5 p.m.
Game 11—Winner Game 7 vs. Winner Game 8, 8 p.m.
SATURDAY
Game 12—Winner Game 9 vs. Winner Game 10, 2 p.m.
Game 13—Loser Game 11 vs. Winner Game 12, 5 p.m.
SUNDAY
Championship—Winner Game 11 vs. Winner Game 13, 2 p.m.
Rematch, necessary if Game 13 winner also wins first championship game, to follow.
