NORFOLK — A small plane en route from Georgia to Alaska suffers engine trouble and makes an emergency landing in northeast Nebraska.

Authorities say the plane landed at the Karl Stefan Memorial Airport around 11:15 a.m. Monday.

Airport Manager Gerry Adams says an oil line ruptured in the plane, and the pilot was able to land the plane safely. No one was injured.

The plane is registered to the Blue Star Flight Club of Griffin, Ga.

" I'm from Norfolk. Those people had to feel like they were in the middle of no-where...as Norfolk's airport isn't something to write home about. I'm glad everyone is ok, and that they were able to land safely! "
