OMAHA — An Omaha man says the two men who broke into his house didn’t threaten him with knives or guns, but a dog.

Police say the break-in happened early Monday morning. The victim says two men came into his house with a pit bull.

Police say the two suspects demanded money, and when the victim refused to hand over any cash, one of the men assaulted him.

" Guns don't kill people, dogs kill people. Just like gun control, it's not the weapon, it's the people controlling them. "

" It is unfortunate that the dog they used was a pit bull. Just goes to perpetuate the bad name of the breed. But it would have been the same if the dog was a poodle. They OWNERS are to blame. Not the dog. "

" Why did the man have to assault the victim with his fist and did not the dog? Maybe the pit bull was like most... a loving dog. "

" What kind of person owns a dog noted for its aggressiveness and dangerousness? Rational people with families they love and children they cherish don't own a pit bull. So Ken, GMP and "friendly dog", you're right. And if you're right, then lets do the rational thing. BAN THE PIT BULL AND THE OWNER. "
