Afternoon, evening storms possible
Thunderstorms were expected to rumble across the area Thursday afternoon and evening.
Thursday’s forecast was partly cloudy and breezy, with a high near 91 and a south wind between 14 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Forecasters predicted some of the evening storms could produce heavy rainfall, with wind gusts as high as 23 mph and a nighttime low around 67. Large hail, damaging winds and heavy rain were possible.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Friday, with a high near 85.
Saturday’s forecast includes a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 88.
Sunday is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 91.
