By the Lincoln Journal Star
A 21-year-old Lincoln man has been charged this week with robbing a man in April.
Andrew Minzel, 4300 Cornhusker Highway, is the second to face charges in connection with the April 27 robbery near 29th and P streets.
Alisha Sawyer, 21, is awaiting arraignment on suspicion of aiding and abetting in the crime.
At about 2 a.m. April 27, police stopped a car and found a 21-year-old man who said he’d been robbed. The man told police he was leaving a party and had gotten in the back of a car to get a ride home when a man opened the back door, pointed a .45-caliber handgun at his chest and said, “This is what you get … ” calling him an ethnic slur.
According to court records, the man with the gun leaned into the car and took more than $200 from his pocket and he, Sawyer and a second man allegedly took his Nike Air Force shoes.
