A 56-year-old man was in serious condition at BryanLGH Medical Center West on Saturday night after another man stabbed him with a large kitchen knife, Lincoln Police Capt. Jim Davidsaver said.

Police arrested Glenn E. Ellis, 55, of Lincoln, on suspicion of first-degree assault and child abuse after a 6-year-old girl in his care witnessed the attack in an apartment near 27th and Q streets, Davidsaver said.
