Lincoln police arrested a man Friday morning in connection with the June 27 robbery at Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, according to Capt. Dennis Duckworth.

Jesse Wilson, 21, was spotted by an off-duty officer, Sgt. Craig Price, at the I-HOP on North 27th Street.

Wilson was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Two other men, Randall S. Anthony, 23, and Donald Coleman, 21, were arrested earlier in the armed robbery.

Police believe three men were involved in the attempted robbery, Duckworth said.

According to witnesses, a man wearing a black hoodie and a bandanna over his face and holding a gun ordered a cashier to open the register.

A manager told the man she had to go to the office to get a key, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in relation to the first two men arrested. While in the office, she called police. The man forced her out of the office. He fired one shot from a black semiautomatic handgun toward the dining area before leaving on foot, Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood said.

No one was injured, and the suspect did not get any money.
