Lincoln tied the game 3-3 in the fifth inning, but then Sioux City pulled away for a 12-5 American Association victory Thursday in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Saltdogs bounced back in the fourth, only to have Sioux City knock out  Dittfurth the next inning. The Explorers scored two runs in the inning to take the lead for good, then added two more in the sixth, three in the seventh and two in the eighth.

Corey Harrington had a key two-out RBI single for Lincoln in the fourth, and Eduardo Rios drove in the tying run the next inning.
