It’s a little cool Thursday morning, so you might want to throw on a light jacket.

At 7 a.m., the temperature at the Lincoln Municipal Airport registered 58 degrees.

Thursday should be partly sunny with a high of 78, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Winds will be out of the north-northeast at 9 mph.

The low Thursday evening should be around 57 degrees.

Thunderstorms could put a damper on some Fourth of July celebrations on Friday.

There’s a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. and into the night.

Otherwise, the forecast is looking good. Expect partly cloudy skies with a high near 84. Winds will be out of the south-southeast at 8 to 11 mph.

" I hope it rains all day so they can't shoot off the fireworks. That ought to make some people mad but a lot of people happy. "
