Maric to play in NBA's Orlando summer league
Former Nebraska basketball player Aleks Maric, who wasn’t selected in Thursday’s NBA Draft, remains an unsigned free agent as of Friday, said his agent, Andrew Vye.
The 6-foot-11, 265-pound Maric will participate in the NBA’s Orlando summer league with the Indiana Pacers, Vye said. That league begins play July 2.
Vye said he’s working on getting Maric involved with either the Rocky Mountain summer league, the Las Vegas summer league or both. Those are after the Orlando league.
Maric, the fifth-leading scorer in Nebraska history and a first- team All-Big 12 player, had workouts this spring with Indiana, Boston, Houston, New Orleans and San Antonio. He wasn’t among the 60 players selected in Thursday’s draft.
