About 100 catalytic converters valued at around $10,000 have been stolen from Star City Auto Salvage over the past five months.

The business at 2705 N. 33rd St. has been burglarized several times this year, said Lincoln Police Officer Katie Flood.

It appears the burglar or burglars climbed over the fence or pried the back fence panels, Flood said. Once inside the business, the catalytic converters were cut and removed from cars.

The parts range in price from $75 to $130 depending on their size, Flood said.
