Earth Day is an important day, a vital day. But that doesn’t mean it needs to be a stuffy, boring day.

Following are a few tips on how to make your Earth Day the raddest day ever.

1. Make art out of obsolete technologies.

Turn your worthless junk into something beautiful. Convert your floppy disk into the Starship Enterprise. Use the tape of an old VHS to make a bracelet.

An example of such eco-friendly art can be found at: www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Starship-Enterprise-Out-of-a-Floppy-Disk.

2. Have a garage sale.

Instead of going to the landfill and dumping your junk into oblivion, see if someone else could find a use for your garbage.

You never know what people might need.

3. Conserve water.

Many might consider this to be more inconvenient than fun. But if you can get back into a child’s mindset, the whole conserving water thing is awesome.

You don’t have to partake in arbitrary adult obligations like bathing or brushing your teeth or using the restroom indoors. For this one glorious day, you have complete freedom to live how you were meant to live.

4. Participate in your community’s local Earth Day cleanup.

Or you could just organize your own personal cleanup. Help take out your neighborhood’s trash. Go door-

to-door and ask anyone

if they have any needs for waste removal, etc.

5.  Carpool.

Even though you probably don’t like your co-workers, just for this one day, share a ride with them. It’ll be a

way to become more tolerant of the jerks you work with and also a way to help Mother Earth, even if it’s just in some small way.

And for that, friend, you are a good Samaritan and a virtuous human being.
