Forecasters predicted a sunny and windy start to the week, with a high Monday near 76 and a south wind 13 to 16 mph increasing to between 25 and 28 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph.

There was a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday night after 1 a.m., with a low around 51. It was expected to be breezy, with a south southeast wind 18 to 21 mph decreasing to between 9 and 12 mph and gusts as high as 30 mph.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday. Election day is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Wednesday’s forecast is mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
