Police arrested two men and a teenager Saturday suspected of robbing a man near 17th and Vine streets Thursday morning.

A 17-year-old male and 18-year-old Nashwan Jangir of 1329 N. 25th St. were both arrested on suspicion of robbery, Lincoln Police Capt. Anthony Butler said. Jimmy L. Conley, 24, of 1327 N. 25th St. was arrested as an accessory to the crime.

Police believe two of the suspects approached a 19-year-old man on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. One threatened the man with a gun, police say, then both ran off with a watch and the man’s wallet containing about $100 cash.

Surveillance footage shows two suspects getting into a green, four-door sedan nearby.

An officer on patrol early Saturday saw a green, 1996 Chevy Lumina without plates near 56th and Holdrege streets and pulled up behind the car.

Jangir, Conley and the 17-year-old were all in the car at the time, along with a black, handgun-style BB gun.

Jangir and Conley were taken to the Lancaster County Jail, where they remained Saturday evening. The minor was taken to the Youth Assessment Center.
