Nebraska sophomore JC Stevenson fired a 3-over-par 75 to finish with a school NCAA regional-record 220 score, but the Huskers fell short of earning a berth in the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships with a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Central Regional in Austin, Texas, on Saturday.
Stevenson tied for 14th place in the individual competition. The Huskers had a 54-hole total of 903 and missed qualifying for the championships by one stroke. UCLA won the team title with an 861.
NU was 12-over on Nos. 13 to No. 16, with four double-bogeys and four bogeys.
