Officials investigating power outage downtown
Several blocks of downtown Lincoln were without power Saturday night, and crews with the Lincoln Electric System were trying to find out the scope — and the source — of the blackout.
LES spokesman Russ Reno said an area from L to R streets and from 10th to 20th streets was without power. He said the first indications of an outage were reported from the substation at 19th and Q streets just after 10 p.m.
Police were assessing the situation, and several officers in the area were working to direct traffic and identify traffic lights that were not functioning.
