Are you one of those moms who likes to spend Mother’s Day planting flowers and vegetables?

Do you maybe have a mom who likes to do that?

Well, you — or your mom — might get to.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service call for a breezy, mostly sunny Sunday for eastern Nebraska, following a blustery Saturday statewide — and a freeze watch for portions of the west Saturday night.

The high temperature in the east on Sunday should be around 60 degrees. In the west, temps could go as high as 70 on Sunday — after the frost clears.

Forecasters call for party cloudy skies with a chance for showers and thunderstorms Monday through Wednesday, with highs ranging from the  50s to the 70s.

I protected the tomatoes from the wind and they made it through. "
