Forecasters predicted a wet start to the weekend.

Lincoln received 0.21 of an inch of rain Thursday night and early Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Scattered showers were predicted for Friday morning, mainly before 10 a.m. The forecast was mostly cloudy, with a high near 65 and an east wind around 9 mph.

Forecasters predicted a 50 percent chance of showers after Friday night after 1 a.m., with a low around 47.

There is an 80 percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm on Saturday, with a high near 58.

Sunday’s forecast is mostly sunny and breezy, with a high near 64 and a north northwest wind between 10 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high near 72.
