Restaurant warnings, 4/2

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department has issued food enforcement warnings to:

Heidelbergs South, 1601 Normandy Court, March 18: Unapproved employee beverage container on work table; bar flies in vermouth container; soiled walk-in cooler storage racks; can opener and egg slicer dirty; meat and beans held at unsafe temperatures; pizza meats and pot of chili not date marked; and black trash bag used for food storage.

Culver’s, 4940 N 27th St., March 21: Employee taking non-prescription medication in preparation area; and SlimQuick tablet found in customer sandwich. Note: Joyce Jensen of the Health Department said an employee accidentally dropped the non-prescription pill in the food prep area, searched for it unsuccessfully and hoped that it had fallen on the floor.
