Omaha woman pleads guilty to prostitution charge
OMAHA — A 26-year-old woman accused of running a home-based prostitution business in a southwestern Omaha neighborhood has pleaded guilty.
Makayla Peters entered the plea to one count of solicitation of prostitution Thursday in Douglas County, but maintained that she never offered sex.
Peters was arrested last month for keeping a house of prostitution and operating a massage parlor without a license.
Police say she advertised her services on the popular online classified ad site, Craigslist.com.
Peters faces up to a year in jail and a fine. She’s scheduled to be sentenced in June.
