Construction at sewage plant causes vibrations
People who live and work near the Theresa Street sewage treatment plant are feeling some vibrations — and they are not good ones.
“It’s shaking my computer stand. That’s how bad it’s been out here,” said Richard West, a resident of the Shamrock Mobile Home Court, 2545 Theresa St.
Randy Wilson, superintendent of the plant, said the vibrations are coming from some heavy construction equipment that is ripping up the roads on the site so new ones can be built.
“We are replacing the entrance road into our facility,” he said, as part of a $20 million plant upgrade which is nearing completion.
He said the vibrations could last three or four more days and the road construction project should be completed in about two weeks.
“We apologize for the inconvenience to nearby residents,” Wilson said.
