Riding the nation’s third-longest winning streak of 13 games, Nebraska has entered the national baseball rankings for the first time since early last season.

The Huskers are No. 22 in both Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball. They last appeared in the Baseball America poll on Feb. 26, 2007, at No. 18, but fell out after losing to Iowa and Notre Dame the next week, and never returned.

Collegiate Baseball had them No. 26 on March 19, 2007, but dropped them after they lost two of three contests to Missouri.

NU (14-2) begins a two-game series against Arkansas (12-5) in Haymarket Park at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.

Dan Jennings (1-0, 3.78 earned-run average) is scheduled to pitch for the Huskers, while the Razorbacks will throw Mike Bolsinger (1-0, 3.75). Neither team has announced its pitcher for Wednesday’s contest.
