Caucus tally in Saline County nearly even

Nearly 300 people showed up in Crete for the Saline County caucus, which started at 3 p.m.

In a preliminary count, 134 people stood on Sen. Barack Obama’s side, 129 stood on Sen. Hillary Clinton’s side and 30 were uncommitted.

Caucus leaders were finishing up the tally at 4:30.
