Officer Katie Flood said the boy was found to have a 4-inch, lock-blade style knife in the side of his tennis shoe. He was cited on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon.

Woman reports getting call seeking bank info

Police say a 66-year-old Lincoln woman reported getting a call Thursday from someone claiming to be with Medicare, asking for her bank account number.

The woman gave her account information, but was leery. She later called Medicare to see if the caller really was from Medicare, Officer Katie Flood said.

When she learned the caller wasn’t from Medicare, she called police. She also called her bank to put a freeze on her account.
