The No. 1 Trojans aren’t the only act coming to town Saturday.

It was made official Sunday that ESPN’s College GameDay show will be in town for the Nebraska-Southern Cal football game.

The GameDay crew of Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso and Desmond Howard will do their show inside Memorial Stadium between 9 and 11 a.m.

It is the sixth time the College GameDay set has visited Lincoln, but first since the 2001 Oklahoma game.

The show has become a popular Saturday morning addiction among college football fans. Prior to the 2001 game against Notre Dame, more than 15,000 Husker fans showed up at Memorial Stadium to watch it.

The GameDay crew was also on site last year in Los Angeles before the Husker-USC game.

The Huskers are 5-0 when the show has visited Lincoln, defeating UCLA (49-21 in 1994), Colorado (24-7 in ’94), Washington (55-7 in ’98), Notre Dame (27-10) and Oklahoma (20-10).
