American Trailer & Storage, Inc.,  of Kansas City announced that it has acquired the transportation and portable storage rental fleets of Trailer Sales, Inc., Trailer Leasing, Inc., and Warehouse on Wheels in Lincoln, which forms the beginning of American Trailer & Storage’s new operation in Nebraska and Iowa.

Terms were not announced.

American Trailer said the addition of a location servicing southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa to the company’s operations in Kansas City and St. Louis gives American Trailer & Storage strong regional coverage throughout Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and southern Illinois.

Steve Blum, owner of Warehouse on Wheels, Inc. and co-owner of Trailer Sales, Inc., and Trailer Leasing, Inc., will join American Trailer & Storage, Inc. as a senior sales associate.     The businesses are at 5700 Arbor Rd.

“I decided to sell my company and join the American Trailer team because I wanted to focus on my customers and growing the business rather than the day-to-day responsibilities of accounting, marketing and paying vendors,” Blum said in a release.

Dick Honan, American Trailer & Storage’s Chairman and CEO, said the demand for equipment in the Lincoln and Omaha region is growing.  “We will now focus on growing the market and providing the industry-leading customer service that professionals demand,” he said. 

American Trailer & Storage said it provides temporary storage and transportation for more than 800 customers in 75 industries. Headquartered in Kansas City, Mo., The company primarily rents and sells equipment in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa and Illinois.
