Deshler teen charged after fatal accident

Thayer County Attorney Daniel Werner late last week filed a felony manslaughter charge against an 18-year-old Deshler man.
Josh Lichtenstein allegedly had failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of a country road northeast of Deshler on March 10.
Lucille M. Brettmann, an 86-year-old Deshler woman, died as a result of the collision. Lichtenstein and two teenage passengers were treated and released for their injuries.
Lichtenstein is to be arraigned on the felony charge April 13. He is out of jail on a $100,000 percentage bond.
