These are the priorities President Bush focused on when creating the FY ’07 budget. 

* Global war on terror 

* Keeping the homeland secure

* Reducing health care costs 

* Reducing dependence on foreign oil

* Strengthening competitiveness in the global economy

* Promoting compassion and strengthening families by advancing programs effective in addressing social concerns, including faith-based and community initiatives
