Joseph M. Friebe, a 10-year Cabela’s veteran, has been named Chief Executive Officer of World’s Foremost Bank, Cabela’s wholly-owned credit card bank subsidiary.

Friebe, 51 and the outdoor outfitter’s vice president of direct marketing since mid-2003, will assume his new job June 1.

“Cabela’s is very fortunate to have a long-term member of its management team with Joe’s capabilities and experience ready to lead World’s Foremost Bank,” Dennis Highby, Cabela’s

I have every confidence in Joe’s ability to guide World’s Foremost Bank in the years ahead.”

The company also named vice president and chief financial officer Ralph Castner chairman of World’s Foremost Bank. Caster is also the interim CEO.

Interim president Tom Boatman, World’s Foremost Bank’s chief operating officer and secretary, has been named president.

The roles were filled by David A. Roehr, who resigned as chairman, president and CEO in January.
