Steroids suspect set for hearing
A New York man who allegedly sent steroids to Lincoln waived his preliminary hearing this week and was scheduled for an arraignment in the case.
Vladimir Ribartchouk, 37, is charged with felony conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance. He waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Lancaster County Court Wednesday.
He is scheduled for arraignment on the charge in Lancaster County District Court Sept. 14.
Ribartchouk allegedly mailed steroids and human growth hormones to a local distribution ring that sold the drugs around Lincoln.
Investigators suspect Ribartchouk mailed the drugs to Levi Lewis and Kenneth Thompson from February to November 2004.
The Lancaster County attorney’s office has already filed charges against Lewis, Thompson and Chad Case.
