IABC Lincoln to honor Scott Young

The Lincoln chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) has selected Scott Young, executive director of the Food Bank of Lincoln to receive its highest honor, the Leader in Communication award. The award recognizes a non-IABC member who exhibits leadership in fostering excellent communications in their organization.

The award will be presented Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 11:45 a.m., at Chez Hay, 210 N. 14th St. during a gala lunch celebration. Tickets are $25 for IABC members, $30 for nonmembers and $15 for students. Past recipients include Mary Pipher, Ted Kooser, Chuck Hagel, Tom Rath, Norm Krivosha, and Robert Spire (deceased). Founded in 1970, The International Association of Business Communicators provides a professional network of almost 16,000 business communication professionals in over 70 countries. The Lincoln Chapter is comprised of nearly 40 members.
