This award is given on an annual basis by the Nebraska Optometric Association's Para-optometric section. Nominees are judged based on the number of years in the optometric field, educational level, contribution to the profession, and the promotion of visual awareness in his or her community.
Rhonda Gregory graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management. Her para-optometric career spans 19 years and she is a certified para-optometric technician. She is currently office administrator for the Lincoln Vision Center and oversees both optometric clinics as well as the common optical dispensary. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and Lincoln Independent Business Association. Rhonda is an accomplished speaker and recently lectured at this year's Nebraska Optometric Association convention in Kearney Nebraska.
